Royal Lochnagar

Located on the Abergeldie Estate near Balmoral, Royal Lochnagar Distillery is renowned for its distinctive flavours and royal heritage. Originally named New Lochnagar, it was granted the title of “Royal” by Queen Victoria after her visit in 1848, making it one of the few distilleries to hold such a distinction. Open all year-round, Lochnagar offers guided tours that allow guests to explore the whisky production process and discover its intriguing history.
